Lien on the property – you have first right to take the property in the unlikely event that we don’t complete your payments.
Deed of Trust or Mortgage – an agreement stating we will repay the loan. You maintain the property title until the loan is repaid in full.
Promissory Note – describes the terms of the payments.
Hazard Insurance Policy – names you as the mortgagee. If there’s a fire, you’re the first one to get paid.
